Seeing You Through

It was my Enzo’s idea to move to APEC Schools for Senior High School. He reasoned with us that he wants to experience going to a school he was genuinely interested in before he heads off to college and becomes an adult. We agreed with hesitation, we were in fear that he’ll be lonely throughout the whole two years of senior high school, but we were proven to be so wrong. In fact, we regret not enrolling him to APEC Schools sooner. Within a few months of studying in APEC, he became a different person. My child was never the typical kid who would go home after a school day and would tell their parents about everything that happened to them at school, what their activities were, and what they’re looking forward to, if any at all. But after a few months of studying in APEC, I finally saw through my child. I never thought of this as something that would happen, but it did!

He started joining extracurricular activities which delighted us. He’s always been vocal about wanting to try journalism, and now he’s actually part of a journalism club. I have never seen him be so happy even if he’s worn out by doing a bunch of activities. Not only is he finally getting the courage to try the things he’s interested in, he has also learned to be responsible. He’s been doing all his school work without us having to ask him to, and he has also learned to allot time for himself. He’s also learned to be independent ever since. And while this may all be effects of aging and just an overall sign of maturity, I want to acknowledge the friends my child has gotten from APEC Schools. I believe that most of them are good influences to him, and that the staff of APEC V. Luna has all helped him come out of his comfort zone. Without a doubt, APEC is the best school for my child.
